- This is not exactly the Blue Line, nor is it Metrolink. San Diego and San Francisco have streetcar and light rail along their waterfronts. This is Los Angeles try at the same concept

Quick Overview
San Diego and San Francisco have used light rail and streetcars to redevelop the waterfront on their respective harbors. The Port of Los Angeles has gotten into the act by building the Waterfront Red Car. They have three cars 500 and 501 which are replicas of Pacific Electric's Huntington Stardard cars. They also have car 1058 which (sort of) is an authentic Pacific Electric car.

The Red Car line uses an under utilized railroad siding. All that had to be added was wires.

The southern end of the line does not have much. There is no marina, just abandonned warehouses and a very large parking lot. The parking lot is probably the real attraction. It will help fill up Red Cars on the weekend
