Transit Rider is the Internet's premier public transportation website for transit systems in the United States and Canada. OK, marketing hype aside. Transit Rider is a an ongoing effort to document transit systems and their vehicles in photos. Currently the main focus is on transit systems in California, but other places are also included. While comprehensiveness is not a goal, the site tries to give a good taste of the featured systems. This site does not advocate any particular technology, manufacturer, or political view. There are plenty of other sites that do that. Transit Rider is not associated with any public or private organization.

Lastly, all photos are original and cannot be found on any other website or publication (with few exceptions). For those looking for schedules, maps, etc., links are included to agency sites if they have one.
